About the role

We are looking within our internal talent pool to find our next People Operations Associate, this role will be reporting to our SPS People Operations Lead.

  • JOB TYPE: Full-time
  • SCHEDULE: 8:00-5:00 pm - Tuesday through Saturday (Weekend coverage)

Responsibilities

  • Assist and coordinate day-to-day People Operations functions and duties
  • Provide assistance during the hiring process by preparing all required documentation for all new hires.
  • Assist during the onboarding process
  • Update and audit employee records (hard and soft copies) to be in compliance with local labor law
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities and behaviors (i.e. staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Process employee requests aligned to People Operations process and services, such as benefits, employee lifecycle, and help desk services.
  • Partner with Operations to provide support to the associate and management team
  • Ensure compliance with all local legal requirements such as RAP and IHSS
  • Partner with operations to administer progressive discipline, performance management, and terminations
  • Maintain managerial and employee trust by keeping human resources information confidential
  • Process medical and dental insurance documentation and advise associates how to properly use it
  • Create and deploy policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or Psychology or a minimum of 80% completed
  • Understanding of HR practices, principles, and Honduran Labor Law
  • Being tech-savvy is a plus in this role
